I’ve been dreamingggg of visiting Yosemite National Park FOREVER and getting to shoot a sunrise engagement session at Glacier Point made my first time here unforgettable! It had been rainy and gloomy during the week so we were constantly checking the weather on the days leading up to this morning praying for sunshine. And SUNSHINE we got!!
WOOO!! I’m so excited to finally share all of the photos from this dreamy Malibu engagement session at El Matador Beach! Lauren and Josh woke up for sunrise to shoot here with me before their flight home to New York and I’m so glad they were down for the early wake up call because we had the BEST sunrise everrrrrr. 😍
Megan and Levi’s engagement session is another favorite of mine! I really enjoyed hanging out with them during the shoot - we climbed on trees, up some hills, chatted about all the weird tv shows we’ve been watching lately, and had a good laugh when Megan swallowed a bug right as I prompted her to say something sweet to Levi hahaha. One of the reasons I like shooting at Thomas F. Riley Park is that the sunsets here are always SO GOOD and this day was no exception. I love how these photos turned out so much!
Esther and Loren are one of my 2019 wedding couples and I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. Their engagement session is seriously one of my favorites ever and I smile so hard every time I go through these photos. So so stoked for their wedding in August!
Even though our original location didn’t work out for Connor and Sarah’s engagement session, these are still some of my favorite photos ever! Besides the obvious fact that they’re a very good looking couple, they are both super chill and fun, which made photographing them so easy! I loved that we got to include their dog, Gaia, who is like a child to them, in some photos as well! (For any future clients - YES, you can always always bring your fur babies!)
Can’t wait for part 2 of their session in the spring!
Ashley and Chris are such a sweet couple and I feel so blessed that I get to work with them!! Their engagement session was so fun and considering we couldn’t find a bathroom on the way to the location, I’m honestly surprised no one peed their pants with all the laughing we did hahaha. So excited for their wedding in March!

This was a very special and exciting shoot because it’s the first time I’ve gotten to capture something like this for a couple that I know! Doug and Jey went to college with Jesse and I at Missouri State and they both moved here to LA shortly after we did. They’ve been together for over 5 years so as soon as I got a random phone call from Doug this summer I KNEW what was happening. We coordinated back and forth with dates, times, location etc. until we had a solid plan in place. They were going to take a trip to the desert for Doug’s birthday weekend so that seemed like the perfect time for him to propose!
Jesse came with me for this and he used my backup camera to take a video. We got to the trail a little early, looked around, and realized the spot we talked about meeting up was not the best so I was like “oh crap, I gotta text Doug and let him know to go to a different spot!” We headed back to the trailhead and just as we rounded the last corner we saw them! We hid behind a bush and watched them look at the trail sign for a bit and then they started heading straight toward us (turns out they would come to the right spot anyway lol) so we RAN back down the trail and found new spots to hide so we could capture the proposal. Jesse was stationed pretty close to where the trail opened up a little bit and Jey ended up seeing him and realized right away what was happening - she kept saying “I knew it!!” and ran away from Doug hahaha. Obviously, she didn’t run very far and Doug got down on his knee, proposed, and she said yes!! We explored a little more, took photos until the sun set, and then celebrated with drinks and dinner at a local bar/restaurant that reminded us so much of home in Missouri. Love these two and so excited that they get to spend forever together!
Click here to watch the video. This was only the second time Jesse’s made a video like this so I’m excited to see what he’ll create as he continues to learn!
