Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park Anniversary Session by Carrie Rogers Photography. Adventurous Bridal Session.
I’ve been dreamingggg of visiting Yosemite National Park FOREVER and getting to shoot a sunrise engagement session at Glacier Point made my first time here unforgettable! It had been rainy and gloomy during the week so we were constantly checking the weather on the days leading up to this morning praying for sunshine. And SUNSHINE we got!!
I’m sure you’ve heard this before, but the Grand Canyon, is like, really really grand. It’s been a huge bucket list location for me basically my whole life because I was just always told it should be. Everyone has to see the Grand Canyon, right? But becoming a photographer gave this place a whole new appeal. I didn’t just want to see the Grand Canyon, I NEEDED to. I’ve always loved adventure and exploring new places, but now it’s literally my favorite thing in the world to do that AND take photos at the same time. Gimme a cutie couple in love in an epic location and I’m happy as can be.
HUGE shoutout to Delcy, Noah, Maggie, and Brock for driving all the way to the Grand Canyon to meet up for a fun photoshoot. They were all seriously a blast to hang out with and we got to see an amazing sunset in one of the most epic places I’ve ever been.
Make sure to scroll all the way down to see both sets of photos :)

Even though our original location didn’t work out for Connor and Sarah’s engagement session, these are still some of my favorite photos ever! Besides the obvious fact that they’re a very good looking couple, they are both super chill and fun, which made photographing them so easy! I loved that we got to include their dog, Gaia, who is like a child to them, in some photos as well! (For any future clients - YES, you can always always bring your fur babies!)
Can’t wait for part 2 of their session in the spring!
Sarah Jane and Riz celebrated 8 years of marriage with a stay in one of the Joshua Tree Acres CUTE AF vintage airstreams. The whole place has this earthy boho vibe that I love and the desert is the perfect setting for it. We took photos on the porch, in the community room, amongst the Joshua Trees (and cacti - Sarah actually had to pull a piece of one out of my hand at one point haha), and cuddled up next to a fire. These two were so comfortable and natural together and that made my job so easy!
Towards the end of the evening, Sarah asked if they could just kind of dance freely on the porch together and I think that might have been my favorite part of the whole shoot. Those photos are allll the way at the bottom so make sure to scroll down and see them!
Aiko and Ramiro are seriously the cutest ever and our shoots together are always so fun! For this session, we met up in Joshua Tree National Park, one of my favorite locations ever. All I really have to say is that I’m obsessed with all these photos so just scroll down to see them for yourself!
We ended the evening taking some birthday photos for Aiko in the most gorgeous dress and of course balloons were involved. Click here to see it!
Okay, I know I just posted the elopement shoot I did with these two, but we also took photos in another outfit and there’s too many that I love so I have to share them here, too!!
Please scroll to the end for #piggybackfunnies.
(I literally just decided I’m making that a new hashtag hahaha)
