Intimate Coastal Destination Wedding

I remember when Brooke first reached out about me photographing her and Blake’s intimate destination wedding - I was so honored because they were not even engaged yet but she already knew she wanted me to be their photographer and was willing to pick a date based on my availability. Being valued like that meant so much to me and that feeling never left throughout all of our interactions - they eventually got *officially* engaged and we continued our chats to work on their wedding day plans and then the day was finally here!

Brooke and Blake have such a sweet, strong connection and being able to witness their love in person was truly moving! I’m actually tearing up right now thinking about the day LOL. Somehow on a day meant to celebrate themselves they were able to make every single person around them feel loved as well, including myself and all the other vendors. That love was definitely reciprocated back to them too, which is something equally as special to witness. Brooke and Brooke invited just their immediate family members to their wedding so the whole day felt so meaningful and intimate. Not to mention how intentional all of their details were, from picking their location - a place tied to significant memories in their relationship - to a beautiful, cohesive color palette, to the hand written notes, and a special tree planting ceremony with dirt from both of their childhood homes. I loved everything about this day and these people and I feel so grateful to have been able to capture these photos that I’m so proud of.

If I could leave more than five stars I definitely would. I cannot even put into words how talented Carrie is. We are just blown away by our wedding photos. I never dreamed that my day would be captured so beautifully! Carrie is so thoughtful, patient, and kind. Her passion for sharing the love couples share shows greatly in her work, and I am honestly blessed to have gotten to work with her! I still can't get over it because I just think she's so cool. She helped coordinate my day with ease, she captured our personalities perfectly, and It was a beautiful experience! She helped me obtain a permit, she gave me vendor recommendations, and she gave me her personal opinions. I loved it so much and truly valued her expertise. She even personally drove and met the florist to get my bouquet. Within 48 hours after the wedding, she was sending us so many beautiful photos, telling our story in the most beautiful way. She's so talented, but she's also just an incredible human. To work with her is to see beauty in the world. She's pure magic. I'm looking forward to some day booking her for a travel vow renewal, but until then, I'll be keeping up with her amazing work via Instagram.
