Minimalist Boho Elopement in Joshua Tree
Allison and Joe have been together for over 15 years and were excited to finally make things official with a private ceremony in the desert - with just their sweet Lucy pup in attendance! They were looking for a minimalist, boho vibe and a low stress day and that’s exactly how it turned out. They rented a super cute Airbnb that fit their aesthetic perfectly and I couldn’t help but snap some extra photos around the place to show it off. They actually spent most of their day there and it was seriously so chill! They got ready separately, had a first look, made drinks together, and then finished writing out their vows before we made our way to the park for their ceremony and sunset photos.
They described their pup Lucy as “the love of their lives” so she is of course starring in a lot of the photos. I love that they got to include her in their day because it made the experience so much more THEM. This was one of those days that felt more like hanging out with friends than like work and that’s my favorite kinda day ever. I love these photos so so much and even more so, the couple in them.

Allison and Joe wanted to do a champagne pop and as soon as Joe popped the cork, the wind blew the spray of champagne ALL over them and towards my camera LOL so the photos didn’t turn out perfect, but it’s still part of their day so I thought I’d share them here anyway. The champagne was definitely still drinkable :P
