Bridge House Glen Oaks Elopement

I started working with Stephanie and Paul only a few weeks before their elopement, but despite the time crunch, their day turned out to be the most amazing experience! They chose to stay at Glen Oaks, a beautiful property nestled in the redwoods, and ended up with an upgrade to their best cabin - the Bridge House. This made the perfect getting ready space, where I captured all of their details and their first look surrounded by the quiet sounds of the forest and the evening sunlight spilling in through the trees.

After contemplating where to have their ceremony, they chose a spot next to the river, just a short walk from the house. They shared their heartfelt vows, made things official, and then we explored more of the property to capture their newlywed portraits under the giant redwoods.

Stephanie did an outfit change and then we headed out to the cliffs along the coast to take in some more of Big Sur’s iconic views. The day ended up being incredibly foggy, but that only added to the Big Sur experience - you really never know what type of conditions to expect here and it doesn't matter anyway because gloom or sunshine, this place is magic. I particularly love the moody and romantic vibe that foggy days bring out - for these two, it only made their plans to end the night at the fire pit even more of a treat.

This was a day, like most days I spend with my couples, that I’ll remember forever.
