Thomas F. Riley Wilderness Park Engagement Session | Megan + Levi

Megan and Levi’s engagement session is another favorite of mine! I really enjoyed hanging out with them during the shoot - we climbed on trees, up some hills, chatted about all the weird tv shows we’ve been watching lately, and had a good laugh when Megan swallowed a bug right as I prompted her to say something sweet to Levi hahaha. One of the reasons I like shooting at Thomas F. Riley Park is that the sunsets here are always SO GOOD and this day was no exception. I love how these photos turned out so much!

French Estate Wedding | Brittany + Rey | Orange, California

I’ve typed and retyped this thing a dozen times because I literally don’t know where to start with these two!! Their engagement session was our first official meeting and those can be a little intimidating initially, but Brittany and Rey were just so sweet and fun to be around, it didn’t even feel like I was working at all. It was the BEST thing ever and I left our shoot even more excited to for their wedding day, which of courseee was just as amazing as they are.

Their day was just so full of HAPPY from start to finish and really made me love what I do even more. One of my favorite moments was during the ceremony when Rey tried to kiss Brittany after saying his vows (before they were announced husband and wife) and the officiant was like “no, not yet!” and Brittany started laughing SO HARD. She has one of those super contagious laughs/smiles so of course all the guests were laughing too and I couldn’t stop cheesing behind my camera either. Those photos are shown in the gallery below and are some of my favorites from the whole day because they make me smile so much.

Throughout the rest of the day,  I kept catching little “hey, we’re married” glances/hugs/smiles/kisses between the two newly weds and it was the cutest thing ever. I’m pretty much obsessed with them. On top of everything, Brittany made me feel so welcome and appreciated during the day (HER day) and completely trusted me in my work. That is something that means so much to me!

Mason + Miranda - Point Dume Proposal

Okay, so ANOTHER proposal story. I hope you guys like these because they're my favorite!! These two are from Minnesota and Mason surprised Miranda with tickets to Malibu the day before he planned to propose at this rad location. Obviously she didn't know about the proposal part, but she found out soon enough ;)

I had never been to Point Dume before and I usually hate shooting in the middle of the day (sorry I love my golden hour) so I was a little nervous about finding a good spot that wasn't crowded and if the light was going to be too harsh BUT everything turned out pretty perfect in the end. I got there early to scope things out, decided this spot on the edge of the cliff would be awesome and Mason was down for the idea, so I just waited for them to show up!

Once at the spot, Mason asked someone for a cell phone photo of the two of them and after a quick snap he got down on one knee and you know how the rest goes... (hint: she said YES). Scroll down to see the photos!

Matt + Wendy - El Matador Beach Proposal

I've been trying to write this blog for like two days and I've decided that Wendy did a much better job of explaining the story than I can LOL.

Basically, Matt planned this "photoshoot" for Wendy that would eventually turn into an engagement session after he surprised her by jumping in during the shoot and PROPOSING. It was really fun to be a part of the surprise even though I was nervous about giving it away the whole time haha. Scroll down to see some of the photos!!

January 2018 Styled Shoot

YOU GUYS. I'm so excited to finally share these!! This was my very first styled wedding shoot ever and I'm so happy with how it turned out! I had been wanting to do one of these for a while because it's my dream to shoot weddings regularly and having just moved to a new state I really wanted to build connections in the industry. Julia (from KC Hopper Invites) contacted me at the perfect time back in November so we decided to start planning this together right away! She makes beautiful invitations and stationery in addition to custom laser cut wood pieces. The menu shown in the second photo below is one of my favorites!

We found an amazing florist, cake shop, and event decor specialist to collaborate with us and they worked together to create not just one, but TWO beautiful table set ups. I LOVED photographing all the little details. We held our shoot at the University Club of Pasadena and I still can't get over how great they are. Kelli, the director of catering, and all of the other employees were so kind to us and even fed us before we left (5 stars from me).

Our models Miles and Aimee, are a real married couple and of course they were adorable and fun to work with. The gown Aimee is wearing was made by a local dress designer and her hair and makeup was done by the talented Carla Chacon. We also had a videographer there as well, so stay tuned for the video coming soon!

Below are photos are from one of the two different themes we created, but I will be posting photos from the second one on my Instagram soon! Check out the list of vendors at the end of this post to see everyone involved.

Huge thanks to everyone who participated and helped make this shoot such a success!
